The exposed edges shall be formed so that water does not "back-up" by capillary action under the membrane. (6) At junctions with vertical surfaces, the membrane should be applied up under the sheathing paper a distance of 4" to 8", or applied up the vertical surface a minimum of 4" to 8" and protected by a flashing/counter flashing arrangement or proprietary sealing system. For new construction, SunFree Vinyl goes on after roof, but before doors and siding. SunFree nor its applicator are responsible for characteristics of plywood. SunFree nor its applicators are responsible for the deck pitch. Even though we use on of the best polyurethane sealants available, this item requires maintenance by the property owner(s). Petroleum based, treated, solvent or acid products, should not come into direct contact with vinyl surface. "Green" Cedar is heavy in tannic acid. The tannic acid in cedar is water soluble once. Do not allow cedar to lay on vinyl surface for first water exposure.
